16^th ANNUAL ST. THERESA FEAST

Our 16^th Annual feast will be held from July 25^th to the 29^th.  The feast committee has been hard at work planning for another great event. Games – rides - fantastic food – an indoor casino – a flea market - religious observances each night – our procession through the neighborhood with the statue of St. Theresa - nightly entertainment - and much, much more. As always there will be lots of fun for everyone. So please mark your calendars and tell your family and friends.

THIS YEARS THEME – Each year since the inception of the feast we have had a catchphrase that is the underlying theme of that years feast. The catchphrase is then depicted in a sketch and placed on the t-shirts of our volunteers. Although we have not finalized all of the details of our theme this year, it will center on the elevation of Archbishop Timothy Dolan to Cardinal. We will be asking the children of the parish to get involved again this year. We will ask them to write letters congratulating the new Cardinal and invite him to our feast.

GRAND RAFFLE - In conjunction with the feast, we will hold our Grand Raffle. The grand prize will be the winner’s choice of a 2012 Mercedes C300 or $30,000. The 2^nd prize will be $1,000 and the 3^rd prize will be $500. There will only be 1000 tickets sold at a cost of $100 each. Tickets will be mailed out to the parishioners in early May. Once again we ask for your help. Please make every effort to buy these raffle tickets or network them among friends, relatives or co-workers.

VOLUNTEERS - Naturally our feast could not be accomplished without the help of hundreds of volunteers. If you worked in the past we need you again. If you haven’t we need you this year. Nothing is as rewarding as spending a couple of hours in service to your community. We will start sign-ups in the middle of May.

If you would like to see how the feast committee works, bring up an idea or get involved stop by any feast committee meeting. These meetings are open to all parishioners and local residents. The dates of these meetings can be found in our parish bulletin. 

ADVANCE RIDES – Advance ride tickets at a discount will be available beginning in May. They will be sold in the rectory and the Church Gift Shop. During the feast each ride will require one ride ticket. The advance ride tickets will cost $20.00 for 10 ride tickets. A savings of $15.00 over the individual ticket price at the feast. Save time & money by purchasing your ride tickets in advance.
