Welcome from the Religious Education
Director: Sr. Eileen Burns
would like to
introduce myself. My name is Sister Eileen Burns,
O.S.F. I am a Sister of Saint Francis. I'm
delighted to join the St. Theresa Parish Family as
the new Director of Religious Education. It will be
a great blessing to me to take care of the children
who attend Public School and their parents. I also
will be present in our wonderful Catholic School
helping to prepare the children for the Family Mass
on Sundays and for the Sacraments of Reconciliation,
First Holy Communion and Confirmation. The weekly
Mass at 10:30 a.m. is a great way to start out your
week. It is an old saying, but it is true, the
family that prays together stays together.
The vocation of all of us is to give good example to
our children, more by what we do than by what we
say. When you, as parents, brought your children to
be baptized into the Church, you promised to bring
them up in the practice of the Faith. How are you
doing in keeping that promise? Let us work
together, so that what our Parish children learn in
their Religion classes is practiced with Joy and
Fidelity each moment of our lives. We want to be
joyful followers of Jesus, making a difference in
our Parish family and the whole world. A great way
to be joyful is to put...
J
- Jesus first
O
- others, next
Y
- yourself last.
God bless you, as Saint Francis would say, "Good
people, I wish you Peace and all good."
Sister Eileen
